Chanterelle Duo Special Request Rates
(and advice!)
Musical Selections - Special Requests
Sheet music Actual cost plus $5
Arrangement $65/hr
We usually end up arranging from piano sheet music or MIDI files.
If you can provide us with one of those, we can provide a quote really quickly.
Consider this! - Because of the nature of our instruments, we can imitate most vocal
music very well. However, some songs can lose their meaning or significance
when they lose their lyrics and/or rhythm section. We'll give you an honest
opinion of what we can or cannot do successfully.
(Rainbow Connection= Yes; Sarah Brightman= No)
Collaborating with a Vocalist
One Rehearsal with duo (right before ceremony) $75/ 30 min.
Additional Rehearsals (week of ceremony) $65 per hour (solo guitar)
$100 per hour (duo)
Vocalists should be in the Austin area the week before the wedding.
Consider this! - We've never actually had to do a duo rehearsal before the day of the
ceremony. If your singer is a confident professional, that is sufficient - especially
for standard selections like Ave Maria.
If your singer is the groomsman's neighbor's cousin, we'll probably advise that
your sure-fire (and cost-effective) option is to invest in a karaoke CD.
For all the middle-ground, just fill out our contact form with as many details as you know.
Attending a Rehearsal
one representative of duo $150/ 1.5 hr.
both representatives of Duo $300/ 1.5 hr.
Consider this! - We've never actually both had to attend a rehearsal either. This is
for a deceptively simple reason - being live musicians (rather than a recording), we
can match our timing to you. We will come to cadences that make musical sense,
we will make natural transitions (which may help calm a hurried procession), and we
will roll with the inevitabilities to make things flow.
If you've read this far, you know that our advice is with the highest quality and value
in mind. Because we know a lot of kinks get worked out at rehearsals-
The single best thing you can do to ensure your music runs smoothly is to have a
wedding coordinator or representative prepared to give us one or two important
cues at the wedding, and to meet with us for 2 minutes when we arrive to coordinate
those cues.
Beyond that, just give us as much information as possible, and we'll tie it together.
