I played over 100 performances in 2008. Most of them with classical ensembles at weddings and private parties, or in rock clubs late at night. I can't keep track of all of them here anymore, so I'm just posting the ones that are at a reasonable hour and open to the public. All the rest are listed on my MySpace page.

Beyond his primary focus of being a professional music educator, Phil performs frequently in the Austin, TX area. A former member of the Des Moines Symphony and Des Moines Metro Opera Orchestra, he also was concertmaster of the Drake Symphony Orchestra. Phil plays classical chamber music, plays tangos with classical guitarist Sean Behrens in the Chanterelle Duo, performs the rock-and-roll Nutcracker and more with the Invincible Czars, is in the rock band Mostly Dead and the country band The Old Holdouts, and enjoys playing in various other ensembles and settings. Phil's interests include supporting local businesses and musicians, vegetarianism, and progressive politics.
